Welcome to the first in a series on getting organized. I love coming up with new and creative ways to organize my goodies and I thought it would be fun to share some of them with you. I’m open to your ideas, suggestions and comments so please feel free to send me an email anytime. My email address is at the end of this article. This month I’m going to show you how to create a ribbon holder. It’s actually going to end up being hybrid because I’m printing some paper from the ‘Dream. Create. Inspire.’ Kit and will adhere it around the base of the ribbon holder.

I don’t know about you but I have TONS of ribbon around my studio. It’s hard to keep them organized and they are something I use all the time. I asked my husband for some help in building a ribbon holder. The supplies you’ll need are nominal and you can make many of these for under $20. If you or your husband doesn’t have woodworking tools it shouldn’t be a problem because you can look in the yellow pages and find a local woodworker or cabinet shop that can whip these things out in no time flat. And most of them should have some scrap wood lying around so it won’t cost much either!
