I use this trick every time I use Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.
To size any of your brushes (including the Eraser tool (E) you can choose a brush from the preset drop down box. You can also enter the size in the brush size box by clicking on the drop down arrow, or manually typing in the brush size, or using the slider depending on your version of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.
The fastest and easiest way for me to change the size of my brushes is to use the Bracket keys located to the right of the “P” key on your keyboard. To increase the size of your brush tap the right Bracket key ]. To decrease the size of your brush tap the left Bracket key [.
Once you start using this shortcut you’ll never go back to the boxes on the Option Bar.
P.S. If you can’t wait for next week’s shortcut tip, you can purchase my book filled with other tips like this, and then check in each week for a refresher course!
