No Zoom Tool for Me! - Saturday Shortcuts

I admit it; I don’t like the Zoom Tool (Z), it drives me nuts! However…it’s really important to zoom in and check your work and look for things like missing drop shadows, stray pixels, and misspelled words which I do all the time, but I don’t use the Zoom Tool (Z) to do it.

How do I zoom in and out with out the Zoom Tool (Z)? I use the scroll wheel on the top of my mouse. By scrolling forwards and backwards I can easily zoom in and out to check out whatever I need to look at without switching between my tools.

If the wheel on your mouse isn’t set up to zoom for you it’s easy to activate.

Go to Edit>Preferences>General or use the shortcut Ctrl>K. Click in the empty box next to Zoom with Scroll Wheel and this feature will be activated.

Enjoy!

Patty

P.S. If you can’t wait for next week’s shortcut tip, you can purchase my book filled with other tips like this, and then check in each week for a refresher course!
