Instead of using harmful chemicals to disinfect and clean your garbage disposal, use lemons and ice. Just fill your disposal with cut-up lemons and a cup of ice. Turn the disposal on with the cold water running. The ice will help to sharpen the blades and the lemons will naturally clean away germs and odors.
