I have to say that I really loved the way the Jen Wilson interview turned out as well as all the graphics throughout the whole magazine. Cindy has great taste and sense of design in putting the magazine together to have a superb presentation!!!
2  Scrapbooking / MISC - NOT SCRAPBOOK RELATED / Nurture Your Creativity #1 Tip on: May 01, 2007, 01:49:59 AM
1. Act as if
If you think and act, you can.

By Chris Dunmire, CoachingYourCreativity.com

Chris is offering a series of articles on nurturing your creativity. His list goes from A to B, and the first letter A = Act As If.

Take Action Now! • • •

Take responsibility for your creative dreams by acting as if. Acting as if means trying a new role on for size, embracing a new mindset, and acting on your intention “to become” with reinforcing behaviors.

What do you wish to become? Write down three of your most desired dreams right now and then list two actions you will take this week for each to begin manifesting your dreams into working realities. Remember, if you think and act, you can. Yes, you can. •

Chris Dunmire is a thriving humorist, creativity enthusiast, and creative director of the popular Creativity Portal ® Web site. Chris has trained as a creativity coach with Eric Maisel, Ph.D., and promotes the facilitation of creative expression in people of all ages.

Words of Inspiration (In Honor of Our Moms for Mother's Day)

A Mother's Love

A Mother's love is something
that no one can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain...

It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away...

It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking...

It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems...

It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation...

A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.

I'm not sure. I noticed the same thing when I tried PSE 5.0 - that it seemed slower than 4.0. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that you have both programs taxing your computer resources?Huh Maybe if there was only one of the programs on your computer and not both it would work at normal speed?

It would be a great question to ask at the adobe.com PSE forums.

I currently have PSE4...is it worth paying the $99 to upgrade to PSE5? What are the benefits?
I only bought this software last year (just before the upgrade was released) and am just learning to use it.
Thanks
Lorraine

You can try PSE 5.0 at adobe.com as a free trial. I did so after I had PSE 4.0 for a while. I personally liked PSE 4.0 and the new features weren't enough for me to upgrade. I read some people had a few glitches with 5.0 - not sure if they are resolved or not.

There certainly is - which version do you have? You'll want to get the one that corresponds to your version.

It's always fun to learn something new - especially with Photoshop Elements so I can imagine if you get the hang of it - you'll be fabulous with PS as well.

Is it an online workshop or IRL? I bet there will be plenty of help for any questions. Still, let us know how it goes.
