Title: Those of us who don't celebrate Holloween
Post by: mlamarredesigns on October 30, 2007, 09:55:48 AM
Hi Everyone:
For those of us who don't celebrate Holloween, what do you do that day with the Children?

Growing up in several countries it was a day where you go to church and remember those love ones that have gone.

We were shocked when we move to the states and wasn't aware what Holloween was until one night, people dressed in costumes ring our bell.  My parents thought they were trying to rob us, until the neighbor explained to us what is was.
Now it sounds funny, but at the time I remember my dad yelling to go under the bed and not come out.. It was a traumatic experience that we are able to laugh about now..:)

I plan on going to the cemetery and church, then come home and have pumpkin soup and a large dinner with family it also happens to be my mother's Birthday...
