Review of the PC Version of Perfect 365

UPDATE:

I have to admit it….I had to see what I could do with my grandson’s photo in Perfect 365.  I bet you didn’t think about editing babies in this software.  I was able to take an ‘okay’ photo and turn it into a great looking photo in just three little clicks.  Love it!!

Review Using the Mac Version of Perfect 365

When I was asked to review the Prefect365 I was excited because I love taking pictures and uploading them online, but I am not the best with Photoshop. Although, Photoshop is a great tool and you can do endless things with it, it can get complicated and time consuming if you don’t really know what you’re doing, like me.

When I first loaded up Perfect365 I was amazed at, first, how fast it came up and, second, how easy everything is! The interface is easy to navigate through and it’s very simple to figure out how to work all the sliders and tools without reading a long “how-to tutorial.”

On a mac, everything was fast, crystal clear and simple. I loved that there weren’t too many options, buttons and distractions. The whole program is very straight to the point while still giving you lots of options to chose from leaving the people in your photos flawless!

To test it out, I, naturally, picked the most flattering picture of myself to edit.

This was a picture from our honeymoon in Hawaii. Pretty right? I wonder why he married me too sometimes. The first thing you notice, are the preselected faces on the left. They have the whole face with preselected eye makeup, lashes, eyebrows, skin tone, lipstick, blush and they can even thin your face. Dang! If you don’t like those options and want to adjust things more manually, they have a manual tab so you can have more control.

I was amazed at how it automatically recognized my face. It will even recognize mutiple faces in a photo and allow you to edit each one individually. Amazing! Even if some of the makeup seems a bit off on your face, you can manually adjust it so everything goes where it’s supposed to.

So after a bit of tweaking, I was able to give myself a bit of a facelift complete with eye makeup, eyeliner, lipstick, teeth whitening and I even cleaned up my eyebrows.

Ta da! Aren’t I so much prettier now? Well okay, there may be some things that I just can’t fix. It was fun to try out new makeup and see how I look with different shades of lipstick, etc.  It looks so natural too! No one could even tell that I did it all on my computer. ?

Another thing I liked was how easy it was to upload my beautiful face to Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. It takes a lot of steps out of the mix when you can do it all in the program. Just click “share” and log in to wherever you’d like to send it!

If you are an avid self-picture-taker, like myself, or just want a cool way to edit your photos in a refreshingly simple and fun way, Perfect365 is your answer.  It was easy to use, fast and looks so natural!

The Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) announces a star-studded line-up of internationally recognized crafting celebrities, including Terri O, Tim Holtz, Claudine Hellmuth, Margot Potter, Cathie Filian, Steve Piacenza, Theresa Cifali and Kathy Cano-Murillo, among many others, who are scheduled to attend CHA’s 2011 Summer Conference & Trade Show.  Dozens of the craft industry’s most loved and respected stars will be on hand highlighting “Craft Fusion – The Selling Power of Mixed Media,” at Donald E. 	Tim Holtz, creative director for Ranger Industries, plays an integral part in development and design of cutting-edge paper crafting products.  Tim will make daily appearances at the Show hosting workshops and demonstrations.  Tuesday, July 19 through Thursday, July 21, Tim will be at the Sizzix/Ellison booth 1014 at 10 a.m., the Avantus Corp booth 931 at 11 a.m. and Ranger Industries, Inc. booth 731 at 2 p.m.
	Claudine Hellmuth, collage artist, author, illustrator and developer of the Claudine Hellmuth Studio, will be demonstrating in the Ranger Industries, Inc. booth 731 Tuesday, July 19 through Thursday, July 21 at 11 a.m.
	Margot Potter, TV host, designer, author and industry expert, has designed and consulted for some of the biggest companies in the craft industry and recently joined Jewelry Television as resident jewelry-making guru.  Potter will be signing her book”New Dimensions in Bead and Wire Jewelry” on Tuesday, July 19 and Thursday, July 21 at 11 a.m. at the Beadalon booth 1031.
	Cathie Filian and Steve Piacenza, Emmy-nominated television personalities, best-selling authors, and designers, will be at the Plaid booth 607 daily.
	Theresa Cifali, mixed-media artist and owner of The Altered Canvas, will be a CHA Minute-to-Craft-It judge on Tuesday, July 19 at noon and Wednesday, July 20 at 5 p.m. in the Craft Fusion Center booth 1223.
	Kathy Cano-Murillo, The Crafty Chica, an award-winning blogger, artist, novelist and developer through iLovetoCreate, will participate in a panel discussion on Monday, July 18 and will also be at the iLoveToCreate booth 1123 daily.
