I printed the card on 8-1/2″ x 11″ Presentation paper (or matte Brochure paper). After printing, just cut the paper in half both ways, so that the cards are each 4.25″ x 5.5″.

Step 3: Embellish with glitter glue. I used red and gold glitter glue by RoseArt. Just squeeze a little dot where desired. For the star on top, I placed a drop of gold glitter glue. Then I used a pin to drag out the glitter to match up with the star at the top of the tree (as shown below).

Step 4: I used gold metallic pearl cardstock. You can use any solid cardstock that coordinates with your card. Cut the 8-1/2″x11″ paper in half and then in half again so you end up with four pieces that measure 4.25″ x 5.5″.

Step 5: In order to properly layer the card pieces as shown below, trim off 1/8 inch off each side of the gold paper. On the printed card, trim 1/4 inch off each side.

Step 6: Adhere the printed card to the gold paper. You can use as is for a gift tag! Otherwise, adhere to a folded half sheet of white cardstock. (I cut a sheet of white cardstock in half. Then I used my ScorePal to score the center so that it would fold nicely.)

Gift Idea: Make several and give as a set! Beautiful!

I had so much fun taping the show at Scrapbook Memories TV back in 2008. Everyone was so friendly and I really enjoyed meeting the other ladies who were there taping for shows throughout the week.

Below are the instructions for making the Simple Pleasures Card that I demonstrated on the show. I hope you enjoy this printable card. It’s very easy to make. You can assemble several so that you have them ready to use at any time.

Make sure you are logged in to download the printable card here. Please login or register to view this content.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Print out the jpg file. You can open it in a graphics program (such as Photoshop Elements), preview it in a program such as Windows Picture and Fax Viewer in order to print it, or insert the picture into a Word file. Then print it out.

Cut out the card which measures 5-3/8″ wide x 4-1/4″ high. Cut a piece of cardstock in half to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Then fold one of those pieces in half. Adhere the printed card to the front of the folded card.

At this point you can embellish as desired. I glued some blue jewels to the center of each flower. It’s amazing how just a little embellishment makes the entire card look dimensional.

This is a very easy way to make a complete set of cards so that you have them ready to use right when you need them.

Instructions:

In Photoshop, open a New Document.

Use the Text Tool and select the 2Peas Love Bug Font. Change the color of the font to red and type “r”. This will give you some “lips”.

Then I used Rhonna Farrer’s Tattoo Graffiti kit and selected the word “Smooch”. Drag and drop it onto your New Document.

Print this out and cut out.

I decided to matte my lips and word with black cardstock and then cut around it leaving about 1/4″ all the way around.

I colored in parts of the “Smooch” word with American Crafts Galaxy Marker in red and used a white marker to make dots around the outside of the lips on the black cardstock.

Assembly:

The base of the card was made by cutting a sheet of white cardstock 10.5″ long by 5.5″ wide.

Score and fold at 5.5″.

On the front bottom edge I used scallop scissors and cut about 1/2″ up from the bottom.

I, then, added some KI Memories self adhesive ribbon across the part of the inside of the card that was showing.

Lastly, add buttons around the side and the bottom for a fun and funky touch.

Two Sisters Designs Our Closet: The Basics Split PhotoTemplate

Instructions:

This card uses a layered page template. Layered templates have separate layers for each element and when you “clip” a digital paper to them the digital paper takes on the shape of that element. They are an easy way to make a scrapbook page but even easier way to make a really cool and FAST card. All you have to do is re-size it down, print it out and your card is 90% complete. Save it to your computer and when you’re in a hurry for a card just print it out quick.

Place the digital paper above the element and then Go to Layer > Create Clipping Mask or Ctrl + G (PC) Cmd +G (Mac) and your paper will now take on that shape. Repeat this for each element on the template.

Next add the text in the corner of the template.

In order to re-size it down to card size, (mine is 6″x6″, 300 dpi), go to Image > Image Size.

Print it out and adhere it to some cardstock. Then add some traditional embellishments such as flowers and buttons.

American Crafts Galaxy Marker
2Peas Vineyard Elsie Flannigan font

Instructions:

One of the birds in this kit comes already colored. I just made one large than the other. There is also a bird that isn’t colored and here’s how I made him striped.

Open the bird file and using the Magic Wand select just the inside part (white) of the bird.

Copy this part by Ctrl + C (PC) or Cmd + C (Mac).

Next we need to add a new layer to the bird. Go to Layer > New > Layer.

Then paste the white part that we copied into this new layer.

Next open up the digital paper that you want to use for the bird.

Resize the paper down to approximately the size of the bird and drag and drop the paper onto the bird.

Make sure the paper layer is selected and above the new layer that we made.

Go to Layer >Create Clipping Mask and the paper will take the shape of the birds body.

Merge Visible.

Then open a New Document and drag and drop all the birds onto it.

Open up the Bracket element and type the sentiment on it.

Merge Visible again and drag and drop that onto the new document with the birds.

Print it out and cut out.

Assembly:

Card is 5″ x 5″.

Cut a strip of pattern paper and adhere to the front of the card.

Then glue the bracket element onto the card with a little part of it hanging off the right and bottom side.

Next adhere the largest bird to the card directly on top of the bracket element.

The next bird gets a glue dot and raised just a little from the larger bird.

The striped bird gets 2 glue dots stacked on top of each other to bring him popped up further than the second.

Use a white marker to make dots around the outside of the card.

I needed a Thank You card and I wanted to play with the Silhouette HD cutting machine, so here’s what I came up with!

Supplies:

white cardstock

patterned paper from Hot Off the Press

Silhouette Popup Designs:

Paisley Pop-up

Pop-up Thank You Card

Sticky Thumb Glue

Fiskars Paper Edgers Scissors

Invitation-size white envelope

Instructions:

First I cut out the two Silhouette pop-up designs on patterned paper. I folded the Thank You pop-up on the score lines and adhered it to a folded cardstock card.

I cut the other part of the Thank You pop-up cut-out in half and adhered it to the other sides of the folded cardstock card.

Next I cut a strip of a coordinating patterned paper with scalloped scissors and adhered it to the front of the card.

I also added the Paisley Pop-up to the front of the card and curled up the pop-ups.

I created some WordArt on my computer using Photoshop CS3 and printed it on pink paper.

I cut around it with the scalloped scissors. Then I used a scrap piece of the patterned paper but turned it around to the white side. I put it behind the scalloped wordart and cut it out a little large. Then it was adhered to the front of the card.

I also cut a scrap piece of the pink paper into an angled shape that fit inside the envelope, adhered it to the flap, and now I have a matching envelope for my card!

Now for a personal message and I’m ready to send it off!
