I print all my layouts photographically - at a pro photo lab. Photographic prints are the only things that are archivally stable. Some home printers might get fairly long life, but you have to use the printer mfr.'s paper AND ink. Other combinations have been tested and get life as little as a few months. I get 12x12 for $1.99 and can almost always find a free shipping deal, or I buy credits once a year for 25% off which more than covers shipping. I could never do a paper page for $1.99. So while this is a good deal if you print a lot of stuff, it's not such a good deal for printing anything you want to keep for a long time.
